About Us
"Pogshim" 'Pogshim' is a community of hosts that started operating in 2020 with the Coronavirus outbreak. The main focus of developing the 'Pogshim' community was to create a focused tourism product to enrich the experience of Eilat's visitors by inviting the tourist to experience a home-welcoming individual and authentic experience. The product was created by the collaboration between the community and the local government, led by Avichai Jackson. The project's goal was to create an experience that would address the tourism and industry sector while increasing the service offer and providing a unique experience.
The hosts have all conduted induction training for the purpose of the program to create a smooth and enriching experience.
Project Partners:
- The local council, Development department - a division dedicated to developing the town's economy through developing and progressing local business.
- Small/Medium Business Department - 'MAOF', who supports the project with assistance from the Economic State department.
Eilat's Tourism association, which supports and promotes tourism in Eilat. - 'Pogshim' Community manager Hagit Gal, with over 30 years of experience in Tourism projects such as Slow Tourism and Social Tourism with an emphasis on agriculture culture, Art and culinary tourism.
The hosts have all conduted induction training for the purpose of the program to create a smooth and enriching experience.
